Meet Your Dentist
Meet Dr. Allan McQuarrie
“Your dental health plays a significant role in your overall wellness. My goal is for every patient to feel knowledgeable and confident in making choices that lead to their best health.”
Dr. Allan McQuarrie graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2020, where he was honored with the Dr. and Mrs. Albert J. Kazis Endowed Prize Fund in Crown and Bridge Award for his outstanding achievements in fixed prosthodontics. During his time at Tufts, he also served as a teaching assistant in the fixed prosthodontics course and clinical lab, helping fellow students enhance their dental skills.
While at Tufts, Dr. McQuarrie developed a passion for helping underserved populations. His commitment led him to participate in an externship on a Navajo reservation in Arizona and a Global Service trip to the remote hills of Granja Porcon, Peru. There, he provided essential dental care and oral health education to communities in need that lacked access to these services.
After graduating from Tufts, Dr. McQuarrie pursued advanced education in general dentistry through a residency in Buffalo, NY, where he further developed his expertise in surgical and restorative dentistry. He later moved to Southern California, practicing in Carlsbad and North County San Diego, where he discovered the profound connection between oral health and overall well-being. This experience ignited his commitment to exploring and understanding holistic dental care, while striving to help his patients heal and function at their best.
Dr. McQuarrie's dedication to comprehensive care led him to the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT), where he delved into the world of science-based biological dentistry. As an IAOMT member, he focuses on reducing toxicity and promoting patient health through personalized, thoughtful treatment.
Originally from Salem, New Hampshire, Dr. McQuarrie is the oldest of three brothers and grew up on Canobie Lake. He has close ties to the Nashua community as he attended both Nashua Catholic and Bishop Guertin High School, where he played basketball and baseball. After high school, Dr. McQuarrie went to Saint Anselm College where he played baseball for four years and majored in Natural Science. Outside the office, he enjoys a variety of hobbies that keep him grounded and energized—whether it's hitting the golf course, exploring a new book, or skiing in the winter. Since returning to the East Coast, he has taken up gardening, nurturing his green thumb to grow his own produce and enjoy the art of self-sustainability.
Dr. McQuarrie is also an active member of the Weston A. Price Foundation, supporting its mission to restore nutrient-dense foods to the American diet through education, research, and activism. He is also dedicated to giving back and values supporting local businesses, particularly farmers. On weekends, you’ll often find him at the local farmers market, picking up raw milk, fresh cuts from the butcher, and seasonal produce.
